Still learning how to use this blog.
We are in Florida visiting Mum and will be leaving the country on May 5th.
We are taking a 16 day transatlantic cruise to get to Europe. The ship takes 7 days to get across the pond and then makes stops in the Canary Islands, Lisbon Portugal, France, England, and then ends at Amsterdam! We are very fortunate to have a friend that has an apartment (a flat I suppose) in Amsterdam and he says we can use it as much as we like. We will stay in Amsterdam for a few days, and then plan to head for London and stay in the UK for a month or so. Then we will go to Ireland for a couple of weeks. My brother-in-law Mike has family there and we will have another free place to stay for awhile. Then it's off to mainland Europe for three months. We have already purchased rail passes for the UK and Europe and will be traveling all around on the train.
The overall plan goes something like this...
Europe for 4 months, then China for a week or so, then Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam for a few months, then Austrailia and New Zealand, then around to South America and finally home.
We hope to take up to a year to complete the trip, but we may spend all our money and find ourselves back home a whole lot sooner than that!!!
